The reason behind declaring the Jagannath temple as Red Zone area is to make the temple’s area a high security zone . According to the new rules all flights including drones will required special clearance to operate near the temple .

SP Puri , Prateek Singh said that many drones have built in a function that they can be detected automatically if an area has declared as Red zone and stopped before entering in to that zone . However many people use drones without this function , which creates many security challanges . Recently a drone intrusion was successfully neutralised by Puri Police under Mr Prateek Singh supervision .

Mr Singh said that Yesterday we seized a drone that had entered the No-fly zone and a case was registered against the person who flying it .
