After the clashes between Hindu and Muslim during Durga Puja procession in Cuttack , Police department have imposed a 36 hour Curfew to control the communal tension . Vishva Hindu Parishad called for a 12 hr bandh on Monday . Odisha chief minister Mr. Mahon Charan Majhi appeal for peace during this period .

The commissionerate police said that the Curfew will remain in all Police station till 36 hr from 10:00 pm on 5th of October ( Sunday ) . Essential or necessary services like Medical and daily fooding services will be supplied and school and colleges movement are exempted from the restrictions .
According to the official report Director General of Police Mr. Y B Khurania strict action will be taken against those who will disrupt peace .
Odisha Government also stoped internet service for 24 hours and will be increased according to the situation . Social media platform like Facebook , Instagram , YouTube , X and other social media are prohibited during the Corfew period to avoid spreading false news . A single false news can disrupt the peace that’s why internet service is suspended in the city .
Vishva Hindu Parishad called for a 12 hour bandh because of the violence . VHP demanding action against all the people behind this communal attack .
The Chief Minister of Odisha Mr. Mahon Charan Majhi appealed to maintain peacs and brotherhood .
The Corfew may be extend further if the situation get more complex .
